refresh of an existing company logo for corporate identity

Hey there,

we are looking for someone who can help us redesign our current company logo.

What is our goal?
We are running a campsite at the North Sea and our goal is to build a corporate identity for our company. Therefore we are redesigning our website and also want to give our company logo a little fresh up.

What is the logo about?

The man on the logo is our grand grand father. He was a farmer in the early 1900’s and also part of a sea rescue unit, that tried to save other people who got into trouble during a storm for example. He spent all his life at the North Sea, the place where our family grew up and embodies our roots and where we come from. Ever since he has been the logo of our company, so that customers/guests identify him with our campsite.

What is important to us for the redesign?

We would like the logo to look a little bit fresher and more modern, without loosing its characteristic features and nordic roots.
Our target group are are families and couples that are 45+ years old.

What colours?

We were thinking of colours that are colors of nature and associated with the element earth.
