Reimagine the logo for a top tech company's t-shirt

This shirt is for one of the top development companies in the world, X-Team (http://x-team.com). Our brand is cool, slick, confident, bold and geared toward 20-30 year old developers.

We would love for it to feel like a modern t-shirt design, something you'd pick up on Threadless. It should be simple and focus on our logo, but can incorporate other elements if needed to make something cool.

We want to take our logo and illustrate it a bit differently in a creative way.

IMPORTANT: The logo should still be recognizable as our logo, this isn't a redesign, just a creative illustration.

For example, you could make our logo look like it's made from LEGO blocks. Or in the past, we had our logo look like it was made from origami. Anything creative, and preferably a bit geeky (coding, gaming, tech, movies, etc.), to present our logo a bit differently, cool, hip and Threadless-y.

The shirt should be black/dark gray.

It should primarily just be the logo itself, but as described above, it should be illustrated differently (LEGO blocks, different art style/textures, anything creative).

Try not to just slap the logo on something else -- take the time to illustrate the logo and make it different. But don't make it so different that it's no longer recognizable as our logo.

More than anything, don't make the whole graphic utilize red. The more subtle the illustration's colors, the better. Usually we put the logo on our shirts as white, but we're open to other colors that match a theme.
