The client needed an eye-catching illustration that could be embroidered on to a sports shoe. It had to appeal to a variety of potential customers and be easily embroidered.

These are Koi fish, although species specifics were kept to a stylistic minimum. I aimed for movement and flow, keeping the design minimalistic. The client received a variety of color schemes to test for the final shoe design.
