Client wanted a historical map of Europe for his novel. The map had to be reasonably accurate yet still have a hint of style reflecting the period the book is set in (1500s). Buildings representing several towns the protagonist visited needed to be included, and they had to be correct for c.1500.

Note: this was an initial run-through of the map. A later iteration had details added to Ireland, and some design tweaks.
